Yang (they/them) is a grateful nexus of playful curiosity, cross disciplinary yearning, classical training, and loving relationships. All of which influence process & product within their work. They're also a soft-hearted dream-headed Pisces who enjoys yelling, cooking, and giggling at dad-jokes, often all at once.

Yang's logo was created in collaboration with Veronica Ing. Words on the logo from Veronica:
“…guided by Chinese crafstmanship - metal and woodwork - and symbols used in ceramics and paintings. The calligraphy is guided by research into historical brushwork [with input from Yang's mom, a Chinese calligraphy enthusiast]. Held inside a Chinese-style frame are three symbols: the single magpie, the willow, and the moon. The magpie is a symbol of happiness and a harbinger of joy, and is alone, looking for collaborators. The willow is a strong but gentle protective symbol of safety and belonging, and was chosen for its association with the water and the moon. The calligraphy is held inside the moon… Their name 泱 means a body of water so great that its bounds are imperceptible, and they are also Piscean.”
